Statistics: Russia’s inflation amounts to 0.4% in Dec, 3% in 2019
MOSCOW, Jan 10 (PRIME) -- Russia’s inflation amounted to 0.4% in December 2019, rising from 0.3% in November 2019 and reaching 3% in 2019, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Friday.
“In December 2019, the consumer price index amounted to 100.4% as compared with November 2019 and to 103% as compared with December 2018,” the service said.
Food inflation grew to 0.7% in December from 0.5% in November, and amounted to 2.6% in 2019, down from 4.7% in 2018.
In its December 2019 report, the Economic Development Ministry said it expected inflation to amount to 3.0–3.1% in 2019, while the central bank said on December 31 that inflation amounted to 3% last year.
